WHI student shine after they receive full Scholarship to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.


Trace Lewars left and Odain Gayle right both Associate of Science Degree students in Culinary and Chef Management at Western Hospitality Institute was successful to received paid internship to top rated hotels in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The scholarship covers airfare, living accommodation and stipend for three full months. The scholarship is fund by the Europion government, Tourism Intern Exchange Systems (TIES) out of Dominica Republic.

The young chefs were professional and practically incline with the right attitude and managerial skills so they were managing the Restaurant’s. Mr. Lewars was the Restaurant Chef/Team Leader and Mr. Gayle was the Intern Chef. The two younger’s are following the footsteps of there father after Trace father is a Pastry Chef in United State of America and Odain father is the first Black Executive Chef at the world renown Half Moon Hotel in Jamaica.

Trace Lewars and Odain Gayle are Ambassador of Jamaica and Also Western Hospitality Institute and also two of there future Executive Chefs.
