Accreditation of Programs

Western Hospitality Institute is a registered tertiary institution with several programs accredited by the University Council of Jamaica. The institution offers Certificates, Diplomas, Associate and a Bachelor Degree.

WHI Bachelor's in Hospitality & Tourism Management & Associate of Science Degrees  in specific areas are accredited by the national accrediting agency of Jamaica " The University Council of Jamaica ( UCJ) ". The WHI BSc program is different from all other Bachelor Degrees in Hospitality & Tourism delivered locally. This program affords our students the opportunity to pursue a professional development arm of the program in Canada where they are immerse in the language of French as a Second Language, The diversification of cultures, international class room setting and first world facilities and tours which includes winery, attractions ect. and the second semester the students have the ability to travel to China to immerse in Chinese language, culture cuisine and attractions.

The University Council of Jamaica is a statuary organization set up by the government of Jamaica, to register and accredit all tertiary institutions and programs seeking to have their programs evaluated for quality assurance in the field of education. this body is internationally recognized.
